About Me.

My name is Benjamin Mangum, and I've been a multifaceted artist since I founded my company, Dead Silence Media, in 2019, where I handle photo/video/audio/and creative directing for artists throughout the Midwest.

I began pursuing my passion for art when I was about 10 years old. I started learning Live Sound Engineering at a local church.  After I moved from that area, I used my engineering skills to work at the Northern Lights Concert Series and other places until I graduated from high school.

In 2019, I moved to the Twin Cities and attended the Institute of Production and Recording until 2020, when the school was shut down due to COVID-19. While attending school, I began my journey into Studio Audio Engineering and Video Production. Throughout 2019-2023, I became an engineer, producer, videographer, photographer, DJ, and graphic designer for various artists, including Manny Rose and Dee-a-Tee, which led to the official release of music under Dead Silence Media.

In 2023, I started a business relationship with WaterWaveTV as the primary recording engineer, videographer, and photographer for their platform. I primarily direct, record, edit, and mix the SneakShop FreestylesDrown The Mic Performances, and Interviews.

In 2024, I started as the Production Manager for Jovonta Patton and The Wave, organizing, managing, and producing their services and events for the church body.

I look to the future with the belief that my company can become a symbol of creative freedom in the Midwest.

"My personal belief is that artists need to grow an understanding of how their medium is understood by the viewer and the impact their art could have
....
Creating a body of work that displays who you are as an individual to the world is challenging, but if you do it correctly you will create your own universe in which like-minded people will join to experience and grow with you."
